We learned about different ways to visualize this week. Sometimes we see "still pictures" as we read. Other times we are able to see the book like a "movie" and that helps us gain a deeper understanding of what we read. An even deeper level of understanding comes when we feel like we are in the story.

The book I am reading is Harry Potter and the sorcerers stones. I am visualizing I am in the book and Harry and his family is getting tons of post cards and Harry's uncle is ripping them up. Harry's familily movewd because they got too many post cards and a big person came to their house and his name is the keepers of the keys.
ReplyDeleteI am reading Harry Potter and the goblet of fire. I feel like I am making a movie following Harry. For the second task I emagend him walking in the halls with gray walls. On the beach I saw stones and some water. When Harry dives in the water grendilows tried to get him. I saw them as a red sqeid shapt crèchers.

ReplyDeleteI am reading "zoom broom" at school. I am visualizing a movie in my head. I imagine the witch laying in her bed putting her feet to the warm fire. I imagine it feeling nice and warm on my feet. I would feel nice fuzzy inside. I am also visualizing her not being able to find a place to get a new broom and looking angry and frustrated. Finally, she finds a broom at Foxy's shop and I see a brown and grayish broom. I enjoyed the book.

Kelcie {my sister] is older, like Alex.It is the 2 Star Jumper book.It is about Alex who is on a jouney to Jupitar.He uses peanut butter, and scrambled eggs.It is cool.

ReplyDeleteI am reading a book called Captain Underpants and the Invasion of the Incredibly Naughty Cafeteria Ladies From Outer Space. I am visualizing Captain Underpants snapping his fingers and getting mad at George and Harrold. I am also visualizing George and Harrold pouring cold water on Mr. Krupp. I can imagine how cold it was to have water poured on your head.

I visualize it like a movie because it goes on and on and on until the end of the book just like a movie, because a movie goes on and on and on until the end of the movie. But some times I visualize it like still pictures if it doesn't have enough details in the book.
ReplyDeleteI am reading the same book as Annabelle, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaben and so far harry just went to Hogsmeade. He drank butterbeer J.K.Rowling made me feel like I was there drinking butterbeer with harry! I am visualizing it like a movie, because I saw the movie! :)

ReplyDeleteI am reading Beyond The Spiderwick Chronicles- The Nixie’s Song. I am visualizing it as a movie because I can see the characters move, speak, sing and dress. I can also see the neighborhood and house. I feel like I’m in the book also but invisible. Sometimes it gives me the creeps other than that it is a good book.

What is the book about:
The book is about a boy named Rufus, the main character and he wanted a dog but instead he got a Guinea pig. Something weird happened and the Guinea pig started to act like a Dog. The Guinea pig started eating foods that dogs eat like meat instead of lettuce and vegetables. It started to chase cats and eat bones. It did things that dogs do so I guess Rufus got his wish after all. I want to keep reading to see how it all ends.
