We recently read the story, Fireflies in class and wrote about connections we had to the text. As you are reading this week, think about a connection you have to the text you are reading. Remember, it could be to a way a character feels or things they do. You can also make a connection to another story you have read!

From The Text: It was Crash's first day of seventh grade. He and his friend, Mike, were busy trying to look cool and sound cool. They were bragging about the designer clothes they wore and the expensive sneakers they had. They thought it was funny, in a mean sense, that Penn had clothes that were not as stylish as theirs.
My Connection: I remember being that age and concerning myself with how I looked and how I acted. I thought the whole world was looking at me and if I made a mistake I thought people would think less of me. Yuck! I wonder if Crash was feeling a bit self conscious too and wants to and is acting that way because he thinks that's what other kids will see as being cool. I am glad that I have matured and realize that being true to yourself is so much more important than having the right clothes or the right shoes. I just wish I would have realized it when I was younger!

From The Text: It’s never easy doing anything when Jonathan is around. As soon as I brought the boxes inside the house, he latched on to me like a tick and started tugging on the belt loops of my jeans.
My Connection: My connection to the sentence is when I was designing a jet pack my sister came in and said will you play with me. I said no I’m designing a jet pack. She asked can I help. I answered NO! making a jet pack isn`t easy. If I’m having trouble designing it then I’m sure a four year old wouldn`t have an idea how to design a jet pack. I can relate to Alex in the book because sometimes I just want to be left alone to work on my project.

My connection: I think that horses are soft as kittens but not as gentle gut I think that they could be as gentle as kittens I am wondering what they would name them I would the to horse Lisa and Izziy Lisa is my doll's name and Izziy is my nick name and I read that they are black so they might name it something thats black or something out of the reaglur day. I am hoping to read more !!!

My Connection: My brother and I like to play lots of different games together just like Laura and Mary do. Our favorite game in the whole wide world is a card game we learned at summer camp, it is called War. We like to play a lot of different games like Pictionary, Old Maid, Go Fish, Geo Trax, computer games and a lot more.

My connection to this text is, in the morning I had a hard time getting up myself. My dad got me an alarm clock and he set it to 7:00. Now I have no problem getting up. I think it is really fun to get up listing to Country music. My mom is excited too!!!

My connection: One Day I got a new pare of shose. It said on the comershell that put them on and your a hero. So I put them on And I truned on the tv And It said a building was bured down and I though I was a fallur but then New It was fake.

From the text: Mom used to be a preschool teacher, and whenever a kid did something wrong, she'd make him draw a picture of it.
My Connection: When I do something wrong Mrs.Tabitha let's me draw a picture of what I did wrong and asks me if that was a good choice or a bad choice and then she'll say next time think about what I'm doing before I do it. She will also say don't talk to kids when Mrs. Musone is giving directions.

My Connection: My connection is when Dan is planning what to do with the money they win and that is what I did when I had enough money to buy either a dsi or a I pod. And my sister said to shut up about it because she cannot buy one with her own money, and when Amy and Dan got a clue without asking their aunt and I got a dsi no matter what my sister said.

Text: Molly's father had been away for 2 years already and Molly is getting very unpacient. Untill she gets a letter in the mail from her father saying that he will be home in April and at this time it is during the winter. She is so very excited.... And then it happends her father sends a nother note saying the plans have been delayed I will be home later in the year I do not know when!!! She missed him so much!!
My Connection: I know this is not as bad as Molly has expperianced but a few times my father has gone away for work trips like Molly's father had to do but my father left for maybe a couple days but Molly's father had left for two whole years and a little bit longer even. I got notes like she did! I missed my father so so so much same like my sister and mother just like Molly's family did. It was both our fathers who went on the work trip not the mothers because the mothers mostly do all the work with their kids!!
That is my connection to Changes For Molly!!

My conecttion is that my brother had a too ether buy something with $10 or to go to a buffit to eat alot of food I said BUFFIT!! My brother thought he could buy a 3DS but I said thats never happening with that money.
